It does not matter where you are in your fitness journey; everyone from the health enthusiast to the pilates junkie is welcome to FIND THEIR CORE.
HIPfit is the first high intensity pilates studio located directly on the beltline in Virginia Highlands. Due to our intimate class sizes, our instructors can deliver an enhanced and effective workout through hands-on guidance and the ability to tailor movements to fit our students’ specific fitness levels.
Like all things new, there is sometimes a learning curve. However, just know that within a few classes, you will have familiarized yourself with the machine and find yourself remembering the movements. Our goal for every class is to have FUN and (safely) push past our limits.

Plan on arriving to the studio 10-15 minutes prior to class starting. We have limited parking available at the rear of our studio; keep this in mind when heading to class.
We recommend trying out our Introductory 11:30 AM Sunday class prior to scheduling our standard HIPfit 50 class.
What to bring:
• Bring water! Your body will thank you later.
• Grip socks – we do not wear sneakers / shoes on the equipment. The socks will prevent you from sliding and are required for all students.
• We have towels available at the studio, but you are welcome to bring your own! Be prepared to get sweaty!
When you arrive, please share if you have any existing injuries. We will share modifications that are available.
Before class starts, we will demo the equipment and give a quick overview of a few moves.

We encourage maximum exertion of each muscle group and focus on one muscle at a time to reduce the risk of injury.
During class, your muscles will shake - this means it is working!

Stay hydrated! Your muscles deserve it!
You may be sore the next day and this is normal. We suggest 2-3 classes a week to build strength, muscle endurance and definition.
